The Duxford Hotel Cambridge South M11 Jct 10

Perfect hotel for when on the road and just needing a little break.Would recommend! Clean, nice smelling, and the beds are so comfy. The bathrooms are large and clean also. The staff is so helpful and polite. The location is fabulous, and although near the train station, there was no noise from it or any unpleasant odours. The breakfast buffet had the perfect english breakfast and theres a large variety of other stuff. As a fan of tea, the variation of twinings tea was immaculate. There wasn't any veg but they had melon and other fruit too. The selection of breads was also large having something for everyone: white bloomer, wholewheat bloomer, sourdough bloomer, toast bread, baguettes and french pastries. The only issues was with the breakfast was that the eggs did smell a little funny which is very off putting and the orange juice tasted bitter and salty.

A clean and comfortable room. The staff were friendly and the location being right next to the railway station is very convenient. Overall wonderful experience.

Bit of a mixed bag of comments as many positive points but some negative. Location brilliant for me, hotel new and an the main clean. Room was also clean, show however needs some mould cleaner. Bed is low and to some may be an issue. Had a room on the railway side and after reading previous comments was concerned but last train was around 11pm and first about 6am for me nothing unusual as have lived by railway lines for years, even had window slightly open for some air. Booking in lady on reception could do with some manners and not just walk off, but the gent that booked me in more than polite, a credit to the hospitality industry. Evening meal nice hot and plenty on the plate, would be nice to finish starter before getting main. Breakfast would only give one star as poor. Only breakfast plus is coffee in nice.

It was fine enough, no frills clean hotel. One side is looking on to a train station so I'm not sure how peaceful that would be. Thankfully I was on the other side.

Great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. A bit disappointed not to have a sofa In the room but not the end of the world. Becky was very helpful and pleasant as ever. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of months due to unforeseen circumstances at home. During our stay, cosmetic improvements were made to the restaurant and reception area without causing any fuss or inconvenience to guests. All the staff were friendly and helpful from day one and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room was modern, spacious, secure and whenever we required the housekeeping team to come in it was very well cleaned and maintained. The food at breakfast and dinner time was excellent and the ambience was nice as the music is played low and the hotel in a peaceful location. We cannot thank the staff enough for the way they looked after us during our stay and we would totally recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to spend any time here.

I think the hotel has recently had a change of ownership. I called ahead as Maps was saying the place was permanently closed. This is a mistake and the guy on the phone was very friendly. If you are arriving at night the turning on station rd is easily missed, and I was not sure it was the right place. Sure enough the hotel is at the end of the road. Excellent check in and all the staff were super friendly. The rooms are clean and recently refitted no chairs in the room, however we got a fantastic deal on the room probably because of the refurbishment works. This is made very clear with notices in the lifts etc. It's a great hotel which will get better once the refit is complete.
